ITINERARY:
Day-1 Guwahati- Manas National Park Arrive at Guwahati and Proceed to Manas (150 kms/ 5 hrs)- a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Tiger reserve. O/n at hotel in Manas.
Day-2 Elephant Ride and Jeep Safari Early morning, enjoy elephant safari at dense and narrow paths to increse our changes of animals sighting In afternoon, enjoy jeep safari at park. O/n at hotel in Manas.
Day-3 Manas- Kaziranga Today, Proceed to Kaziranga (300 kms/ 7 hrs)- a renowned National Park for one-horned Rhinos and wide ranging migratory Birds. O/n at hotel in Kaziranga.
Day-4 Elephant Ride and Jeep SafariEarly morning, enjoy elephant safari. (if guests get chance to go for elephant safari at Central range (Kohora), they have to pay rs. 800 per forest vehicle for pick up/drop from hotel as outside vehicle is not allowed to go to central range). Apart from rhonos, one can also see deer, wild buffaloes and even tiger. In afternoon, go for jeep safari. O/n at hotel in Kaziranga.
Day-5 Kaziranga- Guwahati Drive to Guwahati (220 km/ 5 hrs). Visit Kamakhya temple (a Shaktipeeth) and Sukreshwar temple. O/n at hotel in Guwahati
Day-6 Guwahati Today, take a boat/ferry to travel to Umanand Island/ Peacock island- the smallest river island in the world. It is at this place, where Kamdev was burnt to ashes by Lord Shiva, when he tried to disrupt his meditation. Later, visit Assam State Museum, regional science centre. O/n at hotel in Guwahati.
Day-7 Departure Depart for onward journey. Tour ends
